[Primer] A Breakdown of File - Urgrant File Type

Postby smallfish » Fri Sep 23, 2011 4:05 am

I actually want to write this since this is my dream file and i hope it can evolve to another file type. Besides, i also hope to encourage some other good players to write a similar article about other files (BKR/Jack, Dio. Control, GMB and the like). I believe with more discussions and understandings, there will be more adjustments to the file and thus bring more variety to the arena.

History of the file:
The file is believed to be founded by a player, Canis, after Set 7 released for a month. At that time, Canis is a new player, but he uses the complete Urgrant file though. After that, the Urgrant file is entitled to be one of the strongest file until now after, Heartbroken, brought it into the 2010 Alteil World Champion and gets one of the grand prize.

The original Urgrant file used by Canis (Uncomplete)
1st SS: Lawita sphere +3 - Magic-doll Support
2st SS: Send a Lv 3 unit to cemetery - Guard Captain - Afeemina (this is the pre-nerfed version)
3rd SS: Return 2 cards from cemetery, you get sp + 1 - Solar Prince - Verlaat
4th SS: Return 2 cards from cemetery, you get sp + 1 - Solar Prince - Verlaat
5th SS: any 3LP...

File composition:
3 Mage Knight Fencer - Urgrant (pre-nerfed, 1sp is not necessary to activate rapier of midnight)
3 Beast Solider - Belus
3 New Magic doll - Astaforse
3 Dragon of Mercurial Night
2 Deathmaker (pre-nerfed, Lv 6 grim, -2 lawita sphere instead of now Lv 7 grim, -1 lawita sphere)
2 Death Embrance
1 Witch Queen - Catherina
1 Sweeping Tidalwave
1 Mermaid Wizardess - Faytis
2 Return
2 Meaning of Failure
1 Soul Pact
1 Cyclone
(There maybe a little bit incorrect since this is only from my memory)

Principle of playing an effective Urgrant file
The principle of urgrant file is to use Urgrant to generate lawita sphere in a cheaper cost, at the same time, limit the opponent SP to lower the threats that opponent can use, this includes the SP sink from urgrant skill and revive SP for opponent’s dead unit. Besides, using lawita and falkow grims to remove opponent field presence so that urgrant and other units can use the high AGI and high damage output advantages to destroy the opponent.

Card Choices

Mage Knight Fencer - Urgrant
This is the name for the whole file, without this, the file is just unable to be competitive. In order to use the true power of Urgrant, the action skill - rapier of midnight, you need 6lv in lawita first. Otherwise, it is just a normal lv 4 unit. You have auto-skill - Spell: Cutting Darkness to accelerate, while the action skill slower the progress of your opponent. Besides, the AGI 4 and 70-85 damage output usually force a revive or LP loss for your opponent. 1sp is half of the resource of a turn. Therefore, Urgrant is also known as an unit that only use the same action skill button - which many claimed that this is a no-brainer.

Beast Solider - Belus
Not a must-have, but a very powerful additional to the file. Belus is one of the best 1on1 unit in the whole game, it engages any random lv 4 or below enemy. This start skill is not very efficient if opponent has many units on the field. But, with the aid of falkow grims, cyclone, return and sweeping tidalwave, the less-threaten enemy will be removed from the field to let the skill hit another threat. Together with urgrant high damage output, it nearly means opponent do not get a chance to attack at all.

On the other hand, Belus itself actually host urgrant in the mirror match. Who plays a belus successfully first, who wins in the mirror match is a usual case.
Besides, the 70HP is also a high enough HP value which can absorb damage from certain popular SS so that belus can use its start skill for the turn.

New Magic Doll - Astaforse
Not a must-have. Astaforse itself is actually not a powerful unit since she needs about at least lawita 6 in order to make it a threat. Moreover, Urgrant will make the lawita sphere to 9 no matter whats, therefore, the power of Astaforse is maximized here. She actually is not a star here but she is a good support attackers for the 1st turn is appeared. 40-45dmg is not really high compared to urgrant and it is even lowers than belus' 50dmg. However, she AT increases every turn permanently and therefore she is good against big unit with a lot of HP and a powerful counter-skill that you don't want urgrant and belus to get hit, examples are Star Dragon, 3rd emperor etc.

Usually, new urgrant fileuser will forget the usage of the action skill - Buster System which actually a good skill when against low agi, high HP, high AT opponent. This skill also let her to accumulate AT to one-shot enemy unit later. The over 100 HP usually will cause trouble for certain file, like Zu, Serpent and the like.

Mermaid Wizardess - Faytis
Since you want urgrant to hit the field early and safely, this is the unit that do 2 things at the same time. Since you nearly don't have a lv 1 or lv 2 unit in the file, maybe a Catherina or owl sage, but after they died, this will only return enemy unit. At the same time, this is a unit with agi 4, RNG 3, AT 30 and HP 40 unit which can helps to share and lower the damage received by urgrant. This is also the ideal card for opening 1st SS(if Cath was tidalwaved) or 2ndSS. When the opening skill hit an enemy, it is 1-2 sp advantage for you. The action skill is usually ignored since no other mermaid is used and the damage is too low and it means you lose 4sp early!!... never use it if you are not on a big sp advantage and lack of LP.

Witch Queen - Catherina
Not a must-have now due to the set 9 stronghold interfere, it is the only card that give you acceleration 100% (except when facing stronghold or shade). 2nd Turn Meaning of Failure is very good start. If you manage to have her alived and urgrant comes into play, you can add +10DF to urgrant so that he can last longer. It is a cards that is good to die quickly, not so bad if it alives but too bad if she gets tidalwaved or send to cemetery directly.

Owl Sage
One of the best sp-gen unit in the whole game as a Lv 1. Since the file consists of many high lv unit or grims. More SP is necessary. Otherwise, you will always find yourself lacking of SP.

Cyclone
A must have for 1 copy. This card means GG for certain file, namely, EN, lv 2 rush, Royalty Rush. Due to urgrant, you already use falkow 4, so why not add 1 copy to file for the advantage. This card is also the only removal cards in the whole game which can remove more than one unit from the field (Deathmaker is similar). If you able to effectively use it, it fulfills the principle of urgrant file.

Return
Nearly every file have unit that are lv 3 or below, so why not? You can also see it as a SP sink grim since opponent will need another 3 SP to re-play the unit. Together with urgrant, you limit the opponent's resources even more. At the same time, you get more and more field control.

Wrath of Sea Lord
Not a must have. There are many troublesome Lv 4 unit that can ruins the whole urgrant file, Chase Wing, Afel, Jack, Alna, Serpent and the like. It is also good in mirror match.

Deathmaker
One of the best removal grim in the game. Removal a threat of any lv from the field and kill another, which usually means this turn is usually a field wipe of opponent. This is used to remove at least lv 4 unit, otherwise, your SP will lose in behind. This card is usually the killer card of the file since opponent will suddenly lose time to recycle their SP and give you time to izcer their last few LP.

Merciless Death
One of the best removal grim. While deathmaker will backfire yourself, this will not and 1 sp cheaper. It also don't affect the lawita lv.

Elite Fencer of Regus
An unit that ensured unit on your side go first except facing undine or slyph or some random grims. It also by-pass the pixy lock. In mirror match, she hosts back urgrant and Astaforse. Though, the front row of urgrant file is already full.

Meaning of Failure & Soul Pact
You need more SP badly. Otherwise, you will lose badly..XD

Zombie Lord - Zugateroza
The last LP keeper of the file. Since urgrant limits opponent resources, this left Zug. a lot safer to use. Besides, the urgrant file usually have a lot SP for the close skill for Zug. It even defeat bringer and Forest Hero if the SP is enough. But now, a lv 1 card can kill it, no matter how many SP you have..

Some other less used Card Choice

Lady Paladin – Mirelia
A high AT unit if grim count is enough. Moreover, since urgrant file needs to use grims many time, when she hits play, she usually have enough AT, which usually astaforse cannot do, to kill opponent unit. The attack also don’t require to spend any SP. If you use the skill, it sometimes get you back a useful one and you will even be happier later. In my opinion, she acts well as 4-6th backup urgrant. With mirelia and urgrant in play, bringer is usually dead unless they have more tank…

Mage Knight of Regus
Providing +2 agi to urgrant, owl sage, mirelia and elite fencer which let you to be faster than though agi 5 unit. But another important thing is the grim bane skill, when you grim bane all opponent grim, urgrant, belus and astaforse will usually do their jobs well with no problem except SS. The 50HP also makes more effeort to kill it.

Sumer & Fenalla
Grim bane for free and you can even bane 2 grims in 1 turns and return an astaforse back and buff the one alive at agi 4. In urgrant file, she is only 2sp investment and the 30HP makes her less vulnerable to ball of flame and dragon breath, though I find she is usually the victim of bringer open skill. She is also a ranged attacker which helps to kill of the annoying salamanders in the back.

Proxy of Soul – Animus
Give you access to gowen 3, which open the choice of Lost doll Erisa which further buff astaforse, final shotdown and rapid growth, the best SP-generation grim in the game. Due to urgrant auto-skill, it usually will have 90AT if everything go right. However, with only agi 3 and 50HP and Lv 3, it is subject to too many things…return, any agi 4 unit, frog, blade wyvern… haven’t tried how it preformed since it can share some damage that urgrant will take.

Lost doll – Erisa
With the aid of proxy of soul, she is usually a agi 4, AT 120 unit on the first row. One of the best thing is, her open skill buff astaforse so that astaforse will get agi 5 and can use the buster system action skill immediately usually. Though, another problem is, the first row of urgrant file is already very crowned…

Ocean King – Vondora
The new addition of urgrant file arsenal. Lv 5 means it is immune to belus, and with 70HP, it can solve the problem of dalos. Since urgrant file already hit a grim count of 8-10 depending on your built. After using the 2sp action skill 1 to 2 times, it can become a super bog wyvern-like unit with 1SP and sit at the back. Remember he gets RNG 4 so that he can hit any unit on the opponents side with at least 120dmg twice. Combo with mirelia for more damages. Though, tradional urgrant file seldom use falkow 5 and that means a lot more investment here.

Time Stop
Used to dodge SS that affect disengage unit, it also makes SP recycle from closed unit possible. It also provides times for Faytis, owl sage and Sumer & Fenalla to perform their jobs.

Shears Winds
A cheaper way to dodge SS that affect disengage unit. It also affect 1 turn only so that our unit can hit next turn immediately instead of letting opponent build up field presence for 2 turns.

Magic Doll – Exorcist
Used to battle Undead and the SP sink effect drains opponents SP even more. Though, The agi 3 and HP 40 status does not easily to have a successful attack after the movement of Urgrant and Astaforse. Mostly, the SP sink is used in early game against shade, Emerald Carbuncle and the like.

Moonlight Assassin
If used, it usually replace astaforse. With agi 5, it usually moves first. 40HP and Lv 4 also let it to keep on the field against the spirit and grims. Another point is that, the action skill can pinpoint and kill any enemy unit which astaforse cannot do, especially the target is in the back. Also, if necessary, it can put on the2nd to 3rd row to be protected by belus or urgrant.

Afel
Similar case to moonlight assassin but much more fragile… the skill also needs 4sp to use but it is a field wipe. Perform bad against gowen due to Jack, salamander, dragon breath, ball of flame, against other sphere is very good.

Swan Cavalier
An unit with open skill to kill problematic unit with low HP, salamander, owl sage, succubus. It also has RNG so that it can be put on 2nd row.

Augmented Sorcerer
Another choice for grim bane and this one is the one that have the greatest attack power and an defensive open skill. Though, it has only 20HP which is very bad in gowen matchup. The agi 3 also means it may not be able to act first to attack and grimbane which fails to commit the major purpose of using this card.

Soul Bind
A card that is very tricky... It can dodge assassin SS, but for only 1 unit and you need to ensure it is, otherwise, it helps your enemy much more. It can also using aggressively to engage the enemy threat like Dalos, Afel, Rasam and the like, though, for 1 turn only.

3rd Emperor
A really great tank when used. The grim-proof ability is very good especially in late game vs big lawita and refess since they also have deathmaker and similar effect. Besides, 120HP and 60AT is high enough to take a hit and post a threat to enemy, The counter skill is also useful somehow. It performs well in mirror match against urgrant since the 85damage from urgrant cannot kill it and will receive a counter from it and die or other unit will take 60damage.

Night Wyvern
Seldomly used since the effect is quite counter-productive against urgrant 's rapier of midnight. Besides, this can be avoided by opponent which this card works similar to faytis in my opinion. The lawita 4 requirement means urgrant is running or using the lawita+3 SS already which opponents already have a stronger field presence.

Soul Return
Nearly a good game side for opponenet when successfully played. Return all urgrant, belus and astaforse back. Though, usually it needs 9 spare SP to use if no proxy of sea is used. And with 9 spare SP, i think deathmaker is better except you are facing file destruction file.

Dark Emperor - Zu
Since urgrant already pump lawita to 9, why not use Zu. The problem of Zu is, it clearups all SP and the close skill will also kill our urgrant. It is not good when opponent have ways to kill a targeted unit by fire arrow, hand of the god, which will also damage all your other unit. Though, the open skill means GG to GMB file type.

Consuming Grudge
Used to kill problematic unit alone (Chase Wing), and trigger SS at the right time (the Lv 3 unit removal SS against an elite fencer) and the revive SS. Too bad the damage is not targeted.

SS Arrangement Principal

Mainly, there are 2 lines of effect used. The LP of urgrant file is also between 9 to 11 while 10 is the most usual number.

1st SS: Either Magic doll – support (Lawita +3) or 40 damage, sp+1 effect or even sp+2
A successful urgrant file needs at least 3sp to operate well. However, urgrant auto-skill will drain 1sp for 2 lawita sphere, that means 1sp is left only. If it is forced to revive last turn, it means a drop of SP instead. Therefore, it needs to have more SP or make the lawita to 9 to stop the SP sink. The lawita +3 also has a effect to make urgrant skill to be usable once it opened if you put 1sp into lawita sphere.

2nd SS: This slot varied a lot. Someone used another sp gain effect, some used sergis to battle undead and Lycanthrope, EX: Wizard Archer of Regus is also a choice. Some specialized version will use LP 3 SS here. Another one is the Lv 3 unit removal SS since certain Lv 3 unit will make problem to urgrant file.

3rd SS: Usually a LP 2 SS, most use 50dmg (Zug. Or Lap.), Mizette, Solar Prince, Skeleton Warrior, Mad priest. If it is LP 1, it maybe Vonderam.

4th SS: Same as 3rd SS but it is usually more defensive oriented, including using Renally and the Solar Eclipise.

5th SS: Mostly are LP 3, Lelein, Death Dragon is a usual choice.

Weakness of Urgrant file

1. Agi 5 Lv 4 or above unit
Since the file usually not using any agi-buff cards, Agi 5 means it can move first, if it is lv 4 or above, the returns are not usable and if it is lv 5 or above, belus also cannot engage. Therefore, urgrant file will take damage. Besides, the unit counts of the file is quite low, this will hurt the file a lot.
Ex: Afel, Dalos, Rasam, Sylph or Undine aided unit, Knight of Zero Shrine, Elite Fencer of Regus (the agi-debuff make her move first), Lebau, Awakened Erisa

2. Lack of RNG
Most unit used is RNG 1 which means this file has difficulties to hit support unit at the back. Usually, the file will use grim to remove them or tank first. But, if the grims are used up, this is a big weakness.
Ex: Solar Princess, Jack, Knight of Zero Shrine, Ex: Wizard archer of Regus, Igina

3. SP or sphere drains
Since it is a mid-big file, it needs more SP and higher sphere to operate fully. Therefore, this will slower the deck a lot.
Ex: Shade, Death Embrance, Zu, Night Wing Wyvern, Shield Coat SS

4. Removal effect and SS
Same weakness as being a mid-big file.
Ex: Deathmaker, Assassin SS, RFA SS, Wrath of Sea Lord, Disjunction

5. Damage type start/open/close/counter skill on un-removable unit
Urgrant file cannot absorb many damage at all, all is the file is using grim and kill-first method to avoid damage. Therefore, un-preventable dmg hit it a lot.
Ex: Crest Devil Knight, Zu, Alliend, Star Dragon, Jack, 3rd Emperor

6. Miracle Fruit or higher than Lv 4
Since fruited unit cannot be returned after it is closed, it causes a serious trouble for urgrant player.
Ex: Any fruited or Lv buffed Undead, Alurane, Mercenary, Angelic Knight, Violetx2

7. Grim Dependent
Drop the grims before the usage, and urgrant player will usually lose the field presence.
Ex: Ref. Citizen, Mage Knight of Regus, Talisman Mystic, Lost tome

8. Character Dependent
Nearly the full file is character.
Ex: Chase Wing, Rosa

9. Lock
You can't play any cards at all.
Ex: Pixy, punishment hole, miracle bind

Opening Sequence
1st Turn: Witch Queen Catheria or skip, if you know opponent would like to skip, owl sage is also a choice
2nd turn: Meaning of Failure if you still have 3 SP, you can either skip or play owl sage if being shaded, if stronghold-ed, owl sage for sure
3rd turn: It varies, Meaning of Failure, return, tidalwave, faytis, urgrant, you really need to judge by experience. Note: never faytis if Catheria is still alive or you play owl sage early.

Match-up Analysis

Since the win% will actually varies if you have different cards added to the file. I just analyze the aggro-form and control-form of urgrant file here.
I will write my comment for certain file type and express the win/loss ratio.

Aggro-form: Mostly damage SS and using 40dmg, sp+1 SS for more SP. Urgrant usually need 3 turn to raise up lawita level.

GMB: Bad Matchup, 20/80. Actually, if opponent don't play lawita, it is be better for our. If they have 2 deathmakers, 3rd emperor and the like. The only thing you can do is never attack, return their unit to hope for a draw. This match-up can be changed to our favor if you use Zu, Wrath of Cons.

BKR/Jack/Bringer: Even 45/55. It quite depends they have how many sakura and fire arrow. The sequence for them to play Jack or BKR or dandan first is also important. In this game, the returns are nearly unless so we will have a few dead cards here.

Dio. Control: 40/60, slightly unfavor. You need to play urgrant early and need to iczer at the correct time. Keep SP for return to handle Dio. The art of not reviving is also important.

EN: Good. 70/30. Since we have cyclone which will return all their unit. There only chance is dagon which will grim bane at the 2nd turn and they may sink all the SP we stored by succubus. Augmented Sor. is another force to be aware.

Serpent: Good. 70/30. Wrath of Sea Lord is great here. Urgrant can 1 shot-kill their sea claw also favor us. Deathmaker the last serpent and is usually game-over for them. Be aware of random undine/sylph tech. though. Once you know when they will open their SS, you just win quite easily.

Ork: 40/60. The revive action skill of ork king is just annoying. and Belus engage ability usually get a wrong target if there are 2-3 orks on the field. Keep returns for later use is key here.Return the ork and finishing ork king copy is better choice here in my opinion.

Big Lawita - Zu: 45/55. They get more deathmaker than us, and Zu, 3rd emperor and the like cannot be engaged by belus... they usually also have Afel which we only have a few choice to solve it. Zu also hits our SP and kill urgrant for sure. The chance here is astaforse and S&F which help us to withstand Zu close skill and grim-bane all their grim.

Big Refess, star-mantle: 80/20. Very favorable. All their units are subjected to deathmaker and merciless death. Astaforse also eat star dragon if we play it early that their dragon or keep it alive. Grim-bane all their grim and they usually don't have a way to due with Zug.

Big Gowen: 80/20. No Matters what they play, they cannot kill Zug. easily. Moreover, multiple Ex. merc. girl, bringer and forest hero may clean up our SP base if we are unlucky enough for our attacking.

Undead: 40/60. Unfavorable. They can lv up easily and their agi and AT will also rise. The problem of not needing to revive may urgrant needs to take damage early very problematic. If will be even if we use sergis SS for help though.

Warrior: 60/40. Favorable. Be aware of multiple brave strike at last. The Lv 4 warrior is also quite trouble since he is usually on 2nd row. Amazon will rise warrior agi to 5 and it needs to be handled first.

WK: 30/70. Unfavorable: Very bad matchup if they get chase wing. For certain anti-urgrant sequence, it is nearly a GG of us in 5 turns. What we can do is hoping Meaning of Failure never genearate 3 SP, and generate 5 SP...XD

File Destruction: Slightly favorable. 55/45. Depends on luck. If they cannot drop our Zu and we play first, we win?!..XD Return Lelein and grim bane them is also good.

EM: Favorable. 85-15... all their units subjects to return, cyclone, a agi of 4... their AT usually not high enough to kill us 1-shot. Belus engage them too.

Mid Lawita: Unfavorable, 35/65. They get belus, dalos, Afel and the like which we can't handle well. They also get SP drain and deathmaker.....

Pixy: Slightly unfavorable, 40/60. They like to lock our file. Play unit and let them die to trigger SS.

Gowen Monster: 70/30 favorable. Low agi, 1-shot-able HP. Return-able.

Slow Refess/Ex Lap. Refess: 70/30 favorable. Since reason from gowen monster.

Falkow Lv 2 Rush: 65/35 favorable: Except they play talisman mystic and grim bane your cyclone...XD. Aware of cem. mouse though.

Royalty Lv 2Rush: 70/30 Favorable: Cyclone means GG.

Control Form: 1 SS using MD- Support (Lawita+3), SS like solar prince, Guard captain and the like, more grims than the aggro-build instead of open-skill units

GMB: Bad Matchup, 25/75. Open their first SS to drop their entire fire. Play belus, if they play Lv. 1 MD, return it and generate SP with owl sage, then play belus. Keeping rest and draining SP with urgrant. If Hellspawn appears, play urgrants at last row. Catheria give DF to belus, and astaforse for a easier draw.

BKR/Jack/Bringer: Even 50/50. It quite depends they have how many sakura and fire arrow. The sequence for them to play Jack or BKR or dandan first is also important. In this game, the returns are nearly unless so we will have a few dead cards here.

Dio. Control: 45/55, slightly unfavor. You need to play urgrant early and need to iczer at the correct time. Keep SP for return to handle Dio. The art of not reviving is also important. Both sides have equal no. of returns which theirs can be only used to backslash ours. If they miss one, they lose. If not, we lose...XD

EN: Bad. 30/70. Since control form using non-damage SS which is difficult to remove the succubus at the back which will drain up all our SP and then let dagon to grim-bane all our grims. If dagon cannot drop cyclone, we win as usual.

Serpent: One-sided towards us. 90/10. Wrath of Sea Lord is great here. Urgrant can 1 shot-kill their sea claw also favor us. Deathmaker the last serpent and is usually game-over for them. Be aware of random undine/sylph tech. though. Once you know when they will open their SS, you just win quite easily. Especially you are using Sea Lord SS, cyclone combo.

WK: 35/65. Unfavorable: Very bad matchup if they get chase wing. For certain anti-urgrant sequence, it is nearly a GG of us in 5 turns. As we are having more returns, we may have a chance if we mercliess death chase wing early.

File Destruction: Slightly favorable. 55/45. Depends on luck. If they cannot drop our Zug. and we play it first, we win?!..XD Return Lelein and grim bane them is also good.

EM: Favorable. 85/15... all their units subjects to return, cyclone, a agi of 4... their AT usually not high enough to kill us 1-shot. Belus engage them too.

Mid Lawita: Unfavorable, 45/55. They get belus, dalos, Afel and the like which we can't handle well. They also get SP drain and deathmaker.....Sea Lord SS/cyclone combo makes it a good counter to this, return their belus, engage dalos with belus and store SP.

Pixy: unfavorable, 30/70. They can make their pixy lv 5. The only chance of us is hoping urgrant win agi roll and hit the lv-buffed pixy first. Chances will be better if we have methods to avoid assassin/RFA SS.

Gowen Monster: 70/30 favorable. Low agi, 1-shot-able HP. Return-able.

Slow Refess/Ex Lap. Refess: 70/30 favorable. Since reason from gowen monster.

Falkow Lv 2 Rush: 65/35 favorable: Except they play talisman mystic and grim bane your cyclone...XD. Aware of cem. mouse though.

Royalty Lv 2Rush: 70/30 Favorable: Cyclone means GG.

[left for future]

P.S.: Please feel free to discuss about urgrant file in this thread.

That's alot of strange weaknesses for a file that uses Deathmaker / Merciless Death to solve bigs (and Belus engages lvl4 aswell)...

Ps; You missed Joachim as addition to some Urgant files.

[left for future]
P.S.: Please feel free to discuss about urgrant file in this thread.

It should take less than 9 A4 paper now lol. There are irrelevant things like rng, you should only be fighting a few units at one time so rng 1 doesn't matter. There are also some missing stuff like Joaquim and also, you can use night wing wyvern in Urgrant decks.

thanks winfrith279, 3rd emperor is the one i missed. Only seen night wyvern once in an urgrant file, but it seems the choices it is somehow counter-productive with urgrant. 6SP to keep when playing the wyvern and have a lawita of 4...i think it is a bit difficult. And after the SP drains, urgrant seldom can drain for something...

Though, a tankable unit maybe useful and quite good against big unit file.

Nice work, even if Ugrant is already quite well known. I have some suggestions for when you are bored and motivated to work on it.

If you or some other players have replays of Ugrant file they are sure to keep, it might be a very nice addition to your topic.
Moroever, it could be worth giving one or two screenshots showing examples of Ugrant files.

You also mention weakness, but maybe it can be worth giving a more detailled view of good and bad match up to illustrate that part, and data like the rp and/or win ratio you can expect with the file. Other informations like the fact it's overall a hard to build file (many high rarities) could also be mention in this summary. Yes, in fact, a quick overview of the file for lazy p... uhm I mean for people who need to review and remember things quickly of course haha.

Another possible addition is a part detailing a bit more play style, such as the opening, the fact that you want to revive a lot or not (pixies for instance relies a lot on ss usage), if you want to iczer or not (I think Gon mention for instance it's not often good with falkow untill you get complete control, whereas you can afford to it with undeas or lycans, provided you manage your sp well of course)... Well, many things like that could be add to help understanding the file.
I also don't think Big are that much of a problem for Ugrant, but I don't play the file myself.

Now, these are not really necessary, I think it's already nicely done, and even as a new player I quickly learnt Ugrant file (painful way to start in folrart)... But I'm also saying all this to help shape kind of a model for future topics like this one.... If there are one day that is haha.
I decided to stop Alteil because it is no longer fun thanks to set 10 and what some people became; I gave my account so if you meet me it's not me.

The opening is actually very similar, either Cath. --> MoF or Cath. (if shaded or stronghold) --> owl sage/skip
You will know once you have played against an urgrant file.

For the match-up analysis, actually i know...but there are too may type:
for example:
Traditional type: Aces8, N815200, PrinzRipper, Heartbroken
Khalida type
My type
Macado type
Whire3 type
Tsai type

Besides, they all preform different for different match-up, and even i know (due to my past experience), it is not good to post the file content of the player if they are not pleased.

If the above player is willing to post their file content, i will continue update it. ^O^/

Though, my version is still on testing.... so, not a good enough to be as an example.

I hate urgrant files with a passion so if I'm in the mood, I stomp on them if I am playing several of my files.

Other weakness of urgrant is that they're all predictable. You already know what they're packing so you can beat em up easily.
I managed to guess everything right.
Although I don't know why he chose to set his first copy of urgrant hp =0 that helped me more than him.

Other thign I noticed, is that urgrant really hates being rushed in the beginning but that's what cyclone is for so no point. And yes, Belus, he really hates Miracle fruit on a couple of undeads. I pulled that stunt before to annoy a belus player. Cuz belus is nothing special if he cant engage your units.

XD so, it is a video of mine...XD

yes, this is the first game i meet GMB with a urgrant file...XD, well, i think it is about the 6-7 games that i started playing urgrant...:P, It should be recorded around early June if i remembered correct.

Totally a lot of misplay now in my eye. But it is actually a bad match-up for urgrant player unless you have Zu or 3rd emperor against GMB.
